Marinara sauce is an Italian tomato sauce, usually made with tomatoes, garlic, herbs, and onions. This simple, delicious and versatile sauce can be used as a base to many of your dishes. Do make a batch and store it for a multitude of uses.

Ingredients
Chopped tomatoes - 1 cup
Chopped onion - 1/4 cup
Olive Oil - 1 tbsp
Garlic - 1 clove
Dried Basil Leaves - 1 tbsp
Dried Oregano - 1 tsp
Pepper - to taste
Salt to taste
Method of Preparation
In a saucepan, add olive oil. Once hot, add onion and garlic and saute. Make sure it doesn't burn.
Add tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Bring to boil and continue to boil 5 minutes or until most of the liquid evaporates. Remove from heat and store in glass jar.
