Cumin Flavored everyday "rice" dish

Jeera rice is one of the most commonly made flavored rice from the North Indian cuisine. To make this simple and easy "rice" recipe, grated cauliflower is cooked with jeera (cumin) and other mild spices. You can now enjoy this delicious rice, guilt-free. This makes a great accompaniment to any main dish.

  1. Grated Cauliflower: 300 gms

  2. Ghee - 1 tsp

  3. Cumin/Jeera Seeds - 1 tsp

  4. Bay Leaf - 1

  5. Salt to taste

Method of Preparation

  1. In a pan add the Ghee and wait for it to get warm

  2. Add the cumin seeds, bay leaf and saute for 30 seconds

  3. Add the grated cauliflower and saute for 2-3 minutes

  4. Add salt and mix well.

  5. Enjoy this with your favorite curry, raita or plain yogurt.
