Bitter Gourd Vegetable Curry

Simple vegetable packed with nutritious goodness

This Karela Sabzi is a delicious and simple to cook. It is made from bitter gourd/ bitter melon, which is one of the most nutritious vegetables. Here we just made a simple stir fry to go with your Roti and Kadhi.

Ingredients

  1. Karela/Bitter Gourd / Bitter melon chopped - 1 cup

  2. Olive Oil - 1 tbsp

  3. Turmeric - 1 tsp

  4. Chilli Powder - 1 tsp

  5. Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp

  6. Salt to taste

Method of Preparation

  1. In a wok, add the oil and wait till it gets warm.

  2. On a medium flame, add the cumin seeds and saute for 30 seconds

  3. Add the Turmeric and Chilli powder and saute for 30 seconds

  4. Add the chopped karela and saute for 3-4 minutes or until the vegetable becomes soft

  5. Add salt and mix

  6. Serve this vegetable with Roti and Kadhi
